Internal funding opportunity for all Stanford University School of Medicine faculty in all tracks, including clinician educators, who are within 7 years of their first faculty appointment at the time the award is initiated. This award supports general research activities and is open to women pursuing advancement, or to men or women who support the advancement of women in medicine and/or medical research.

Eligibility:
Open to School of Medicine faculty in all tracks, including clinician educators (Acting, Affiliates and Instructors are not eligible). Note: CE faculty PI waivers are not required for internal Stanford funding opportunities.
Applicants must be within 7 years of first faculty appointment at the time the award is initiated.
Open to women pursuing advancement, or to men or women who support the advancement of women in medicine and/or medical research.
MD, PhD, or equivalent advanced degree.
Applications for projects from both clinical and basic science research areas will be considered.
Project need not focus on sex or gender.
Requirements:
Two mandatory meetings are required in the first year of the award. The first orientation meeting will be held in Fall 2023 and the second in Spring 2024. A follow up meeting will be scheduled in Spring of 2025.
Recipients must provide a progress report after the first year of research in Spring 2024 as well as a final outcome paper in Spring 2025.
