Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the fiscal year.
Once your inquiry form is submitted, a member of our team will follow-up with you within 2-3 weeks to discuss eligibility.
Applicants may be asked to submit additional materials if their proposal is eligible for funding.
Funding (full or partial) is not guaranteed.
How to Apply
To be considered for a discretionary grant submit an inquiry form via Airtable:

You do not need to submit your full proposal--just a brief summary of your project, including when it will take place, its alignment with VPA priorities, and how the project will catalyze and/or sustain community on campus through the arts.
Amount requested from OVPA
Program priorities
Equity, Health, and Wellbeing
Placemaking and Community Building
Seeding Experimentation and Big Ideas
Eligibility:
The following groups are eligible for co-sponsorship consideration:
Department/Program Chairs
Department/Program Financial Managers
Staff from campus community centers, co-curricular departments/programs, and administrative offices
Individual faculty, instructors, and students (UG, co-term, graduate, professional) should explore funding through the other faculty and student grant programs.
Prior to submitting an application, applicants are encouraged to discuss their intention to apply with their department/program financial administrator to review any department/program procedures that may impact their proposed activity.
Requirements:
Grant recipients are expected to work with their department/program financial administrator to process all logistics and transactions relating to the proposed activity, and to ensure that all transactions and activities adhere to University policies.
Grant recipients may receive partial grants. In these situations the grant recipient should work with their department/program to find additional funds for the proposed activity.
Upon completion of the activity, grant recipients will submit a short final report. Grant recipients are encouraged to include photos (with photographer credit) from the activity as part of their report.
If the project/activity is no longer taking place, please notify Sabrina Wilensky to discuss next steps.
