The SAGE Center aims to (1) enhance aging research using emerging methodologies, (2) foster research on minority populations, (3) and increase the involvement of underrepresented minority scientists in aging research. SAGE pilot awardees will receive mentorship and support on issues pertaining to minorities and disparities research, aging research, grant writing. Awardees will be distinguished by NIA/NIH as "RCMAR Scientists" and be invited to special conferences and training opportunitiesoffered by the National Institute on Aging. Awardees will use the award to conduct a mentored research project using emerging methodologies (such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, and other big data techniques, and precision medicine approaches) to answer key questions in the aging arena. Eligibility:
Junior faculty from all lines, post-doctoral fellows, and instructors from all schools at Stanford University and our affiliated institutions (e.g., VA Palo Alto, Palo Alto University) are eligible to apply.
